PROFESSIONALS
We are a vascular surgery-based practice serving two groups of patients >> 1 Those who need dialysis access and >> 2 Those (especially with renal failure) with significant lower extremity vascular disease.
As one of the few Comprehensive Dialysis Access Centers in the world, we offer access creation, maintenance, complex problem solving, diagnosis, and medical care in a longitudinal full service environment.
FLOW COMPREHENSIVE DIALYSIS ACCESS CENTER (CDAC)
Our primary mission is to care for those needing any form of dialysis. We are one of the busiest access providers in the world, and have pioneered the CDAC concept, which incorporates:
-
Comprehensive, multidisciplinary, multimodal care of all types of access
-
Access creation, maintenance, and complex problem solving
-
Same day service and zone defense
-
Longitudinal care of our patients
-
Education, scholarship, and research
We practice at our own, fully owned hospital, and at six HOPDs surrounding Houston, Texas. Our faculty includes five vascular surgeons and two hospitalists.
FLOW LIMB SALVAGE CENTER (LSC)
Our secondary, but equally critical mission is to care for the legs of those on dialysis. While vascular surgeons as a whole have always cared deeply about this, patients with renal failure often fall through the cracks. Four of our surgeons also focus on this, primarily via endovascular intervention but also pursuing open revascularization when needed.
